Boot LiveDvd with Vmware Server

An example of boot of va_content distribution with VMWare Server under Linux or Windows

  • Start VMWare Server, create a virtual machine, then assign va_content-xxx.iso to DVD drive :

ss_vmware

  • Start the virtual machine :

ss_dem0

  • End of boot messages which indicate IP address given by a DHCP server on your LAN :

ss_dem2

If DHCP server does not exist then IP address will be 127.0.0.1
  • va_content XFCE4 interface after messages end of boot :

ss_xfce

  • Go to Help menu :

ss_aide

  • Web interface of va_content :

ss_content

  • Choose egroupware for example :

ss_egw1

  • Configure it :

ss_egw2

  • Take a snapshot in VMWare Server if necessary.
