Hello to all!
I am trying to load the live cd as I said...but when it gets about three quarters of the way to loading the program...(the light blue line that shows how the setup is going), it stops and shuts off the computer? I usually have to edit the bootup on other live cd's but I dont see where i can edit this one? I would appreciate any help you may give me. Bob

"it stops and shuts off the computer" : does it really shut off the PC or you have a text screen ?

What vafeo distro. do you use ? Can you post your hardware config ?

Do you have a dhcp server on your local network ? Vafeo needs it for ip address. It tries to get an ip address during boot by sending a request to a dhcp server and waits for about 1 minute. On an old harware, that can cause a problem to splashy (graphical  tool for linux boot).

You can try the following:

- Do several <escape> during boot startup to get the grub menu

- Type "e" to edit the vafeo boot menu

- Type "e" on "kernel" line then suppress "splash" and "quiet" items

- Return to principal menu

- Type "b" to boot vafeo

This procedure permits to bypass splashy tool. I'm not sure that will resolve your problem but with this procedure you'll see what happens during boot.
